Look at this, said to be bought in Spain . 27 bulbs that are 12.5 cm in diameter.. Its like a beacon . So each bulb costs a fortune, and a dimmer was required. But the end result is a beautiful staircase. And no crystal chandelier luckily. :)

It looks like it could be an "atomic" lamp designed by trix and robert haussmann and manufactured by "swisslamps international"
Wow - would be cool if it was something similar. Though it has a bit too short "arms" and is too thin compared to the Large Sputnik. I know the one I bought it of bought it used in Spain.
