Exploring an abandoned building (used from 1890s to 1990s,) I came across this. I've been tempted to remove the door ever since.

It appears to be an early decal of sorts, albeit in the dimness I was not able to look at it closely enough.

It closed off a communications room that has been stripped of anything of interest except for one filing system.

I think it is General Telephone Company?

That Logo was used by General Telephone Company from 1951 to 1971, then the logo was changed to just the leters GTE, later to become Verizon
