What a great looking clock! This is Smiths "Enfield" Model, made in England circa 1940's. The Bakelite case is stunning and the clock does chime.

I beautiful clock!!
Thanks Sean....it is a real nice timepiece.
Keep out the sun and Best to dust daily as the dust will ingrain itself into the Bakelite. I have two of these.
There is a Bakelite museum in England run by an artist and the stuff there is truly amazing.
I love these clocks
I have a few!
Thanks for the tip GeodeJem...Bakelite, an amazing material with numeous variations, colours and qualities.
Thanks Fionn, I can see it would be easy to have a lot of clocks as there are so many styles and are so collectable. This clock looks amazing.
