I have had this pipe bowl for some time. It is approximately 6" long. I can't find any markings.
I believe it is the likeness of Kaiser Wilhelm. I have been trying to find information on this type of porcelain pipe but can't find anything like it to use as a comparison. Almost every porcelain bowl pipe I find is the typical elongated bowl with some type of pictorial decoration.
I don't know whether it is a "rare" and/or valuable collectible or just an oddball thing.
I would appreciate any information you may have as well as any suggestions you may have as to how to proceed with my research.
Wow - check this out! But this is a stein, and not painted. there are two others in this same auction of other people. They are not painted, either. I would assume your puipe is also a Musterschutz, since it is exactly the same face...
