This chest was bought in Hong Kong in an antique store in 1990. I wonder if anyone would know what kind of wood it is. It reminds me of Japanese keyaki. Also, if anyone could identify its origins. The shop also sold Korean furniture, which tends to have a lot of metal decoration, unlike this chest which is very simple.
The size is 30.5" x 16" x 17" high.
