    These have been in my family for over 4 generations....I would like to find out more information regarding them..If I can tell what time they were made...marking to look out for etc...the moon brooch has a c clasp..the ring and pendant are in great condition...and assuming its amethyst and ruby...

    Where would one go to find more information on them...and if I should get them appraised?

      Hi - all the photos are out of focus. Can you please post clear pictures? Also need to see the reverse sides. Retake the photos in natural daylight - no flash - and put them all together in one photo.

      You need to examine each piece closely with a jeweler's loup or other magnifier. Look on the back sides for any kind of maker marks or marks that would tell you if these are perhaps gold or silver. You can also take them to a local jeweler to find out what exactly they are made of and their approximate age.
