    My sister travelled to Egypt and bought this several years ago. It appears to be made of marble. Does anyone have any other information about it?

      Its beautiful, a lot of times these are made of alabaster. To test put a light inside and it should be bright to see on the outside. Marble is opaque so light will not pass through it easily.
