Sanfords Inks 4o Inkwell (3" aqua bottle)

This bottle was recently dug up on my mothers avocado ranch in Carpinteria, CA. Perhaps it belonged to my grandfather. It is in incredible condition and surprisingly, a copper seal is still attached to the top. Although it is somewhat open, the bottle itself is still sealed (though empty). There is a bit of white residue inside of the copper seal attached to the top of the bottle. I collect antique and vintage bottles and glass but have never seen copper such as this and would love to put a date on it. I have scoured the web but don't see anything comparable with a "lid".
