      It is not a lantern but indeed a Table oil lamp from the Late Victorian era. Very difficult to know who made it......sometimes there is some info. on the burner/Thumbwheel. It would have had a glass flowered shade at one time. I do not know much about European lamps and this one is European. Bob

      The burner thumb wheel say messenger duplex patent no 2 I've been looking on line everywhere and can't find another like it . Thanks bob

      Messengers was a well known lamp maker in Birmingham, England since the mid-1800's. You should be able to find a lot of information on their Duplex 2 burners. However, it might be difficult to find an identical lamp photo online. Bob
