mid mod well of the sea-like cup & suacer designer?

Have a soft spot for mid mod china, especially shenango china. This reminds me of the well of the sea pattern but i have never seen this exact type. looks like a heron after a fishy. took me awhile to see that. i know there was a designer for shenango named frank something? cannot remember last name. wondered if anyone has seen this pattern. think i will have an espresso in it tomorrow.
