I recently acquired this with an estate I purchased. The other items were 1900-1940, so I am assuming it is from that time period. It is unsigned. Anyone who can share ideas about the history and value of this item would be appreciated. Thanks!

Look for these two books. Southwestern pottery Anasazi to Zuni. By Alan Hayes and John blom. aND fourteen families in pueblo pottery by Rick dillingham and j.j. Brody. Lots on Hopi pottery in them.
annie, just gorgeous. If you have University near you with an American Indian department. The professors might be able to tell you who and maybe when by the symbols used. Or, find an Amer.Indian artifact website and send photos. It is worth t as this is a beautiful piece, and could be older than 1900. thanks for shearing this treasure, Mich
That white clay is from Acoma Pueblo, in New Mexico. Its from the 30's-50's. Its not polite to talk about value on this site, so you'll have to pay for an appraisal. Very nice piece though, I'd love to have it in my house

What do you mean Susieo? Its looks pretty white to me, and the designs do look Hopi, but they didn't use white clay I don't think. Hey Annie, is this pot white or skin tone?
I am pretty sure it was Hopi. I have sold the pot so it is no longer in my possession. The color was sort of cream, aged white?
Could be white slip, hopi hano polychrome.
It could be Acoma but the design looks to be Hopi.
