This is part of my Mother in Laws collection. I took pictures and started doing research and this is what I found:

The original paining resides at The Met and is much larger than this one. Petrus Christus medium was oil on oak panel. This one measures approx. 13 15/16" tall and 12 7/16" wide. It is a heavy oak panel with burned edges.

So was there a time when they reproduced the famous painting from 1449. Whereas it is faded the bottom is marked "m petr[vs] xpi me· ·fecit·ao 1449" with the artist's emblem, which resembles a clock escapement combined with a heart.

If any could help me identify this find, I would appreciate it.

Yes that is how I knew the original currently resided at The Met. I guess I asked the wrong question. At some point did they make reproductions of the piece on the original medium?

Sure why not? It has the look of a more recent tourist piece.
