    Hi,
New to this group, excellent posts.
Just obtained this lamp base by M Lucas in Craquelle glaze. Most of his stuff seems to be in bronzes, any more info greatly appreciated.

    Regards Chris.

The lamp looks possibly 80's so may be a new artist judging by the signature. Other sculpture I have seen looks 70's to 80's. I own possibly all the books on bronzes, especially art deco, and I see no mention of his name whatsoever. The style of the hair is like Maurice Guiraud-Rivière's pieces of the mid 20's. Hard to date the piece other than handling in person. The one I seen on the internet seems 20's until I see thestyle of the bottom of dress which appears much newer.

      Hi Phil.
I agree with the Maurice Guirard-Rivière resemblance, as for 70's /80's this is certainly Art Deco 20's/ 30's. I googled M.Lucas and found bronzes with his signature.
      Thanks
