These wooden baskets are extremely sturdy. They ate put together with bent headless nails, which are covered in strips of leather. The handle is carved wood with a hammered steel brace secured on top. They are both 9" across the top but taper into a smaller base. Someone mentioned they might be from a stagecoach. Any ideas?
What fantastic boxes - beautifully aged.
