Union Leader along with several other brands are considered "entry level" collectibles. Usually entry level means less than $20 for tobacco tins. There are some union leader tins that will go for more but they would be older and more rare. My guess is that this one is around the 50's give or take a few years. Generally tobacco companies stuck with the same design for so long the exact age is almost impossible to tell. But I'll be honest I buy and sell a lot of tobacco tins. I can get them cheap at auctions and when they are priced right they go quickly.

Have a look at any tax stamps on the lid you might find a date if there is any tax stamp left. And tins are very colectable perfect condition helps but subject matter, colors and rarity play an important part. I collect a lot but am try to stick to Canadian brands although I have one of these and agree with Ravage60.
