The only thing that identifies this is the Heineken cap. Does anyone know if this is an ashtray? Is this an actual Heineken bottle? There are no cigarette rests leading me to think it's maybe unfinished?

You put the bottles in the red hot embers and lightly press with a metal rod.

We had one in brown bottle type. It was purchased that way, and it was used as a ashtray at our place, so I assume it was. I think they were bought at what we used to call the JOKE SHOP here in town as my Dad loved finding things from there to bring home. Sometime they had a funny adult joke on the flat pushed in part too

Rose you are right on forgot about that, this is a little too well made to be homemade.

Quite common...I have a few for pretzel trays for the bar. I don't have a Heineken one though.

      Thanks everyone!
I remember seeing them as a child, but I had completely forgot about them being made in the campfire until you mentioned it AntiqueRose. Thanks for the flashback! So this would be considered a arts and craft style ashtray?
