Any collectors who know Georges Briard china? There is plenty of glassware on ebay etc. but very little china. The high relief centres on this vibrant sunflower plate could indicate it was for cigars or cigarettes, but I am only surmising!
22 cms wide, 4 cms high at highest point.
Wikipedia states "he was born in the Ukraine in 1917 and was an American award-winning designer in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. He is most well known for his signature dishware and glassware - everything from cups and plates to gold plated serving dishes."
