I have no information on this, except through research I've ruled out emasculator, pipe bander, hog or bull nose tongs.

Could it be a crimper. We used a tool similar to this to crimp a lead seal. To secure items of value (jewelry) with an identifying number. Cool item anyways.

Your photo is a drawing. Where did the image come from?

The drawing came from another friend, who doesn't know what it is. I am now leaning toward a handmade, iron Reimer Emasculator.

Owwwwww! The picture on Wikipedia is enough to put you off your lunch. Seriously, I don't see the blades on your item, although I have no other ideas. Maybe the cutting is done with another tool and this is simply the clamp(?)

It could be an Emasculator, in my opinion. We used them on the farm for the calves and seen it done many a times but do not recall exactly what the tool looked like. I was like 7 or 8 years of age.

I know the calves sure did not like it ( LOL ) but it did a clean job as long as you put the band on right.

~ Yup, Most guys would say OUCH just thinking of it !!!
