    I think it's a glass (very heavy) ice bucket.
    The glass container is about 10" in. tall with a silver handle and a silver rim.
    Embossed with A.A.M. on one side and
    On the opposite side
    Of the rim are 4 Hallmarks:

    hallmark 1: unknown (unreadable)
    hallmark 2: Belgium
    hallmark 3: unknown (looks like Lion standing upright)
    hallmark 4: unknown (looks like Pyramid with the numbers 478 embossed over it)

      The mark became a required standard on Belgian silver in 1942. Also in 1942 maker marks were required to be a barrel shape lozenge, which cannot be identified here.

      IVAN49, I will see if I can get a better photo of the first hallmark or edit the photo somehow to get a better version of what is shown now. Also, thank you for your prompt reply.
