    This is a( 4 1/2 inches by 3 1/2 inches by 1 1/2 inches ) brass box with a wood liner. The lid's art work reminds me of cloisonne

      Chinese early 20th century 1900-1930 cigarette box would of had a couple other pieces with the set. I believe it would of had wood liner on the top cover too.
