I have this duck made of milky white glass. It has a stamp on the bottom Pat D - March 15, 1887. I've had it for at least 20 years. Any help identifying it would be appreciated.

Usually I see ducks popular in mid-century 20th C. Interesting to see a patent 1880s duck.

TallCakes, thank you so much for the link to the article. It's really nice to finally find out what type of duck I have...An Atterbury duck. Should I look to get it restored (I know it has a few bruises) or appraised? I would hate for something to happen and I don't have it insured.

most often with this type of glass insurance is cost prohibitive. These have been reproduced and fairly easily procured at a reasonable price.
