Because all glass sides are bevel'd glass, the way with 2 bevels close together on each cut and a mirrored bottom,,,this is hard to photo. It sparks like a diamond. I have the top up for one photo so you can see the horn is very deep cut there inside and shows frosted at the top when closed. Brass edges and REAL HEAVY!! A weapon if you make Bette mad.
Felt or something like it on the bottom of case
Looks like the size of 1940s cigarettes,,,like Betty and Joan smoked on the screen. After I took the pics I saw decades of fingerprints! Got it yesterday and I thought it was clean .ooops.
These would be placed on a coffee table and all guests just helped themselves. That sure was a "yesterday thing" to do. I have't seen one like this since I was in grammar school!

I have a hunch this may not be an American case due to the horn... Looks like something for a Brit. Fox Hunt.
I was thinking along those lines but the deep cut horn atop and beveling, just really do prevent clear viewing. Thanks, I'll go look!
