Wm. L Gilbert, General Mantel Clock, can't find it anywhere

I just found this clock yesterday. I haven't been able to find it anywhere on the Internet or in books. It's a William L. Gilbert, mantel clock, with General for the model. No sites I've looked at has a General. Just wondering how old it is. A friend and I oiled it and checked it out. It runs like a charm. Any comments would be greatly appreciated.
