My Mother found this piece in a creek bed in rural southern Missouri in the early 1950s. She was playing with her sister and noticed an odd shaped rock sticking out of the dirt. They dug it up and realized it was some sort of a doll, probably created by American Indians who previously lived in that area. It is approximately 10 inches tall and made of stone. The exact location where they found it is unknown, but Mom says it was a few miles south of West Plains, Missouri in Howell County.
