Hi everyone
I have another piece I can't figure out if the stone is a jade or maybe a new type of stone material used.
It is slightly heavy. 1.25 in L x .75 W
Any help is greatly appreciated

Do you know what the metal is surrounding the stone, and what it is in the back of the piece.
Do you have any history at all?
As far as stones are concerned, it could be a tourmaline, beryl (emerald is a green beryl) or a very dark jade. Are you quite sure it's a stone not plastic? If you put it against your cheek is it cold? If yes then it is probably a kind of stone.
Thank you so very much for your response! I am not sure of the metal part. It isn't steel for sure. It has a tint of a gold tone in the back but the front and the sides, it is silver. Several friends looked at it today, and it's too heavy to be made of plastic. The stone is cold. I found tourmaline stones that are very similar. This was a great start. I am fairly new to collecting and I am having fun! thabk you!
Interesting! I think it is a kind of man made cat's eye effect glass stone :-)
Not able to find one rectangular for the moment...
