I got this mid-century water pitcher at the Flea Market, it's unmarked, but looks similar to a piece of Van Daalen Pottery, of Germany, but the clay looks more US made, instead of the darker clays of most German Pottery, that is usually well marked. It has kind of a matte green crystalline glaze, and may be stoneware, with a clear gloss glaze on the inside. It's 8 1/2" tall, about 4 1/2" at widest point, 5" out to out spout to handle, and a 3" base. Any ideas?

You're right, it does resemble Van Daalen, even a few others. You're also right that those are, I would say "almost" always signed. This one does look very symmetrical and even if it were a school project, the student would have signed it, don't you think?! Yeppers, I think so. Ya never know Bill.

Here's a link to a web site, if you scroll down 29 pages to 11 November 2016, you can the piece that made me think that my piece, may be Van Daalen:

      http://leodesignnyc.com/category/art-pottery/

The lines, glaze, and handle, are very similar, to my piece, but I really don't have any other reason, than that. The pottery and lack of a mark, make it different, but maybe someone will recognize it! :^)
