I am one of 21 grandchildren, and every Christmas day, and only Christmas day watched grandad play this accordion on his front porch steps. That's as much history as I know. I was very lucky that my grandma passed it to me cause only months later the beautiful old homestead of 4 generations burnt to the ground,,,.

Please help me identify this play this better and appraise this accordion,, thankyou scincerely.

Sweet. Well, a google search on Topnotcher Accordeon says it was sold by Paling in Newcastle and Brisbane in the late 1920's, but you've probably seen that.

Probably diatonic, i.e. one key pulling and another key drawing, e.g. C/G. Doesn't seem to have any bass buttons for the left hand?

Gorgeous instrument and here where I live they make for great polka dancing . What a prized heirloom .
