I can't get the drift of this postcard at all! Can anybody figure this out, or is it only me? It is unsent and maybe I can see why. What do you think?

Well, to paint the town red is to be reckless and go nuts in town (could be several ways one can go nuts). Clothed in recklessness behaviour?
At least the sender is still clothed!
      Spending spree in fashion? LOL.

This transcends my ability to surmise, even. Does it maybe mean, he is too depressed, wearing black to have any fun?? This card is a stumper?
SpiritBear you are not afraid to "go out on a limb" and take a guess and that is something very cool about you! Thanks.

U R right fortapache!! You are the sharpest blade in the box. So glad this is solved--and thanks to SpiritBear for his thoughts on it also. I had no brain activity on it at all.! !
