Hello I have found this pair of silver earrings , I think they are silver but have no marks , not sure but am guessing stones are CZ ,

Nice and clean looking earrings.
Look at the third pic. The left earring seems to have a stamp/writing on the pin. It is just too small to see. There might be your riddles answer. :-)

Guessing both posts say 'sterling'. Those spots of rainbow color in the stones that show in the 3rd pic suggest CZ.
