My favourite oil painting

This oil on canvas by Richard Faulkner RUA is entitled "Between Mulranny and Achill" (Co.Mayo,
Ireland).It measures 20ins x 16ins.plus frame.

Born in1917 he died in 1988.His preferred medium was watercolour but occasionally he painted in oil.
His first exhibition was at the Royal Hibernian Academy in 1937 and then in the Ulster Academy of Arts in 1938.In 1950 he was appointed an academician of the Royal Ulster Academy.
