This is my first oil lamp and after cleaning it and replacing the old wire and plug it had, I started doing some research based on the brand.
I haven't found as many lamps like this one as I thought I would find and I'm curious now.
What year could it be, approximately?
I got the wire support for the shade, I just didn't place it back after reassembling it because I thought it looks beautiful just like that.
I've read on another post I found here that these lamps are made of brass? It's same color inside.
I'm clueless but would love to know more about my find.
It's a common Miller Vestal lamp. They were made with Nickel. This on has had the original oil lamp burner replaced by a brass electrical adapter. When electricity was invented they replaced oil burners with electrical adapters to keep using their lamps. If you wanted to change it back to it's original kerosene functionality it would be easy enough to find a new burner with a wick.
