    It's about 15 inches long, and looks like it may have had a handle attached on one end. Hand made for sure. It was found on a farm in the eastern side of Michigan. The "Catch" end has a worn spot about 3/8" wide in it so something has been attached to it.

      Maybe an antique fish gaff ? Looks like you'd shove it into the mouth and through the gill, then pull back and it would lock so the fish couldn't jump off.

      The socket end would attach to a long pole. It's a pig catcher. It snaps over a hind leg and causes bacon.
