I have 2 of these chairs each carved from a single piece of Lignum Vitae.
They measure 83 cm in height from floor to top of back.
Country of origin is not known.
    Each is very heavy.
Any information to identify where they were carved would be helpful

Carved in Indonesia, the do a lot of elephant coffee tables, chairs. They appear at all kinds of auctions. A person I worked with has about 5-6 pieces. They are still doing this kind of carving.
