This is a sofa and barrel chair that my grandma had , I would like to determine the maker and approximate age if possible . Don't want an aappraisal just like to know more about them .

The maker may be difficult as thousands of furniture makers left no records. Maybe someone has one close in design or sometimes a good source is some of the mail order catalogs which provide good overviews. Possibly the library's history room in the area you picked it up.
