    NeedToKnow…
    (3 items)

I've got Grandma's lamp here and am wondering if anyone knows
if this is in original condition - most paper weight lamps I've seen pictures of have a glass base and this one has an unusual metal one.
The base has a lattice style metal surround with what looks to me like
4 fish or dolphins with their tails in the air at each corner.

Could this base be original? or might it be a 'married' lamp?

The lamp also has 8 long pointed crystal prisms hanging
from a basket near the harp.

The upper paperweight glass has what looks like trumpet
flowers or lilies with a bubble in each one.
Seems like a faint lavender hue to the paperweight glass.

I've heard there is a manufacturer named St. Clair
and zimmerman, but haven't found a mark yet.

Have any suggestions to reference materials (books, websites, etc)
    about vintage paperweight lamps?

    Many thanks for any info

Most of these 60's to 70's lamps were not marked. Yours are a higher quality lamp with the nice etching on the glass. The mesh metal on the base and dolphin lift is exactly like many of which I have seen. A lot of companies were just marking the table lamps and did not mark the matching swag ceiling lamps. My set has the initials and the year made which these type of lamps quite often have with date of 74 which may be later than your set is. I would say 1968 is a good year for yours.
