Please help identify this old set? I know it's village blacksmith, and it's old but that's all. It was my grandfathers. I have no more history on it. Thank you.

These were usually made from antlers, I think elk but not positive. Look where the antler meets the metal and you may find a name there. These are in a little rough condition, I think I would maybe put some olive oil on the handles, a good coat of it and let it set. The material should absorb it and this would be so they don't become brittle. You also may want to wait for another opinion on this first. I know many people that do put thises in the dishwasher and that's the worst thing you can do with it. Always hand wash and then dry these. It may be from England but see if you can read anything where I mentioned.
I had a WWII era machete made by this company that my father in law brought home from Luzon after the war. I have since given that to my son but I did research it first. At the time I did research I found an online archived database of their lines of products and dates. I didn't bookmark it but there is a site where it exists. There is a good deal of info on the company in the Watertown, Wisconsin history.
