I think it's fantastic, a really cute monkey with stretched out arms! Maybe it's just an art piece, or maybe a sign hanger
I had 5 they hook together by tails and bought them new in 1990's . I recently think I gave them to thrift shop because I never quite knew what to do with them lol. I think just decor pieces as I have wood ones also .
I have seen these many a yr. ago, and I think they would swing, somehow. How ? I don't remember !
Ok, I've been forced to perform an unnatural act. Thinking !. Seems to me that if these were put at their balance point (CG) on a string, that when the string was angled down, the monkey would climb down. Reverse the string angle & they went the opposite direction. Try it, so we can get some laughs !

i remember these well! in the 70s, these were sold to hang your flower pots in their macrame holders. they were made in different sizes too.
I knew thinking was a bad idea. LOL
