I purchased this with 2 Chinese oxbone inras, so I am guessing it's also Chinese and made from bone. The top does not come off, nothing moves. It has scrimshaw type markings on it. One of two nude Asian women. I have no idea, other than a paperweight, of what it is. I have searched Google and can find nothing. Any help would be appreciated.
From the picture on the side, it looks like a massage is being given. So I suspect this is a percussion instrument for pounding on the back.
