    I inherited this and dont know much about it. Sword Obviously made in India. I saw some calvary swords that looked similar. Any info would be appreciated.

      Interesting site. It does show a lot of Talwar swords and it also shows a link to your exact blade & scabbard identified as "A vintage Indian Talwar sword with . . . the disk pommel characteristic of the Talwar" BUT, as with your piece, it does NOT have a disc pommel, which is, in fact the defining characteristic of the Talwar. In any event, almost anything marked "Made in India" as yours is, is a tourist souvenir. PS. It sold for $35.
