Just picked up this Miller Beer Neon sign, don't know anything about it. Does anyone know it's approximate age, or value, I have been told by a couple of people it is from the 80's and worth between $400 and $800. Has Franceformer power supply. Thank you. Ralph
It is from the 80s. I would put the value at about 250.00. I have the same sign.
If the transformer appears original (frame holes/hardware line up), look in the data plate for the date which is stamped. Won't be exact date neon was made but will definitively provide timeline.
Miller mass produced these signs. I will say they're worth even less than $250. Probably in the neighborhood of $125-$150. If NOS in the box maybe you can fetch $250 but it all depends on condition. The people that told you that price are way out of the ballpark. SouthUrn is correct that you can find the date of mfg on the SER field of the transformer tag. 3 digit number with the first being the month and the last 2 being the year. Good luck
