I found this in an old barn in south Texas. I would love to return it to the rightful family. Looks like the initials are LJ. Also look a like this the screw in the handle are wooden. Thanks for all the help in advance

That is probably a maker's mark. Highly unlikely you will find the original owner so keep it and enjoy.
