This is one of my new additions to my cup and saucer collection, but I am not sure of age or where it's made. It's quite small and made of porcelain and is hand painted in a deep red with gold swirls, and panels of oriental figures (not sure if they are Chinese or Japanese). There is a tiny chip on the base, which glistens slightly, which suggests it is a hard paste porcelain, so maybe Continental or Chinese. There is a slight impressed number on the base of the cup, which I think is a 23. Any ideas?
