I picked this up recently for peanuts because purple always attracts my attention. It is not marked anywhere and has a closed back. It appears the stones are probably glass, not rhinestones. It is very heavy.
Tried to find an idea of the maker based on the pattern on the back...like 1928 jewelry...but was unsuccessful. Maybe it’s newer? I have no idea. Your input is greatly appreciated!
It looks to me like the pattern for 1928 jewelry. That's no help! Sorry!
MadamMisty...
I do believe you solved the mystery.
1928 made loads of dangle brooches with the "carved" imprint on the back.
Glued in stones, never pronged.
Victorian revival designs.
Lovely piece! :)
MadamMisty and Ms.CrystalShip:
I believe you are both right. The pattern on the back reminded me of 1928, but was a bit different. So I dug out some of my old 1980’s 1928. Some of it is similar, some more flowery. This was the pendant only with no hang tag or chain. So 1928 it is and mystery solved! Even though it seems newer, it is still really pretty.
Thank you to MadamMisty and Ms.CrystalShip for the 1928 confirmation. That’s why I love this board. The many helpful clues prompt one to do further research on so many things!
Thank you everyone for looking!

Highlander, you are so welcome.
I, too, love this site.
It is always a learning experience, with so many people passionate about their collections, and so willing to share their expertise! So many friends too!
By the way, you may call me Eileen if you wish :)
Ms.CrystalShip thank you, Eileen! Feel free to call me Terry. I do appreciate your comments. I do enjoy this board so much, but it can be addictive and I am running behind on my “thank you’s“ to everybody. I’ve had a sick African Grey the past month who was under “palliative care” until last week, taxes for my Mom, working on ours...this is my escape!
Hi Terry, so sorry to hear about your parrot :(
This "collectors" site is a great "escape", and everyone here is so friendly. I came on a couple years ago asking about a green RS & seed bead bracelet my Father bought me at auction some 30 years ago. No answers for the bracelet, but no matter. Have met the most wonderful people, and I so enjoy seeing everyone's jewelry.
So glad to have you "on board"!
