I was able to purchase this exquisite Haute Couture evening gown from a private estate. It is an original Norman Norell; in particular, an early haute couture design - evidenced by the Traina-Norell label.
Even more special, from the black/white photo - I discovered the dress was featured as a full-page ad in the Vogue, September 1957 magazine, photoshoot by Irving Penn, famous fashion photographer. I was able to find and purchase the very magazine.
