    Here's a question for the purest. The gilt is coming off this universal pocket watch key, now would you have it re gilded or would you take off the existing gold wash and have still a beautiful hallmarked solid silver item, or would you leave it alone altogether ? Neil

      I’m no purist or expert, but I love it just as it is! It’s wear is a testament to it’s use. That lovely lacy design makes me think it went with a ladies’ watch.
