This unique, beautiful punch bowl has been in my family for 4 generations! I am curious what the pattern is. I believe it may be Indiana Heirloom but can't seem to find another like it.

I suppose there are some similarities to 'Heirloom' tho' that pattern is most often confused with the 'Octagon' (OMN: Bellaire) pattern by Imperial Glass; and Indiana Glass reissued their 'Heirloom' pattern in carnival glass c1970s.
This looks to be Imperial Glass #402-1/2 'Fashion' c1909-15

'Fashion' was also reissued for many years, but first induced in carnival glass and shows in various as from c1915 or so.

Were the cups intended to be suspended from the bowl rim with S-hooks?
The points on the rim look fragile but since it has survived 4 generations without breaking any, I wonder if the cups have always been suspended there.

the ads I've seen didn't show any hooks for hanging the cups; I think that's a more recent fad with plastic hooks...

I thank you all for your comments! It has had the hooks for as long as I can remember so if they were 'a family edition' it was before my mother acquired the set. Wow! This is fascinating! Do you know if this set originally had more punch cups? I've only known it with the five cups but think that is an odd number. Only 1 cup has chipping on the rim, otherwise, all are in perfect condition.

the set originally included the bowl, a stand and six cups; image of an ad on this web page:

Thank you very much for the information. After I read your post and saw the complete set I realized that I had another piece to the punchbowl! I hadn't realized that this 'bowl' was actually the punchbowl base. Wow! (I added the pic of the set!) I always thought the base to be a bowl because that's how it was set up in my mother's curio. It is gorgeous!
