I posted this on the Collecting Chinese Pottery and Art FB page and some folks thought it might be as old as Ming. That was very unexpected! i won it in an ebay auction about a year ago and it's been sitting on my altar ever since.

Hardly Ming. In that case the bottom would have absorbed centuries of dirt. My guess would be 'yesterday'. Sorry.

i agree that it's probably not Ming, but it is very old.
