    Hi there!
    I just bought this poket watch online and still need to pick it up personally, so still doubting if it is a goos deal. I saw a case 6 years ago on this page that was similar to mine, yet the finish was different. I would love to know your opinion, if you think that I can open it and fix it (because it doesn’t work now) and what you think.

    I also put a picture I just found that shows that this type of watches have had a base expositor.

      I think these are referred to as a globe watches, and would sit on a desk , rather than be carried in the pocket. I think it is opened by depressing the top winder. I would take it to a reputable jeweler or watch maker. Its a beautiful piece.
