I’m looking for more information on this HAC mantle clock which has been given to my son. If anyone can help with dating and valuing it that would be great. It has all its winders it does wind up and works for a while but then stops. We are nervous of winding it too much. We would love to get it working properly again.
I love your clock! You should check for a clock repair shop in your area and consult them. You could cannot get values on this site but you could get that kind of info from ValueMyStuff for a fee of $20.
It needs a proper cleaning and maybe some restoration of pivot holes (bushings). You never really know until the movement has been carefully examined. It's a machine and all machines require periodic maintenance. Good luck with it.
