little coppertone 'scotty dog' ashtray with fancy rim

One more little trinket from the 'house cleanout', still in progress BTW. (another few milk crates full added to the pile this evening in fact....my carport is getting *full*?!! <lol>)

This is a cute, kinda ornate little 6-sided metal ashtray measuring about 4-3/4" across with a "scottie dog" figure in its middle. It obviously has been well used, still with some old nicotine residue on it in a few spots probably and a couple small spots of (former) greenish corrosion on its bottom -- I cleaned it as gently as possible with hot water and a scrub sponge to get it looking as it does here, which is decidedly better than it was. While doing so I realized that it probably isn't solid/stamped copper (as I'd first guessed) but rather a plated kinda 'pot metal' molded item -- though it is overall thin enough that it almost could have been stamped.

There are no markings at all on it. I have no idea whatsoever who made it, where, nor when.
